The Napolean looks like a typical ga grill. Made into a gas grill “looking” cabinet, the charcoal grill gives off many of the gas grill features, but it is wholly charcoal. Look at the rear mounted rotisserie area. A smartly designed charcoal basket holds charcoal so that you can indirectly cook on your rotiserie section just like on a gas grill.
In addition to the features you would find on any Napoleon grill, this unit has a well engineered airflow control system, heavy porcelain coated cast iron cooking grates, and a dual layer roll top lid. This is the charcoal grill for the person who wants a full sized grill with charcoal flavor.
Primary cooking area:605 square inches

reversible chanel cooking grids
Stainless steel temperature gauge with ACCU-PROBE sensor
Durable stainless steel doors
Large stainless steel side shelves
Adujstable air damper
Multilevel charcoal bed
Rmovalbe rotisserie charcoal holder
Charcoal access door

This portable charcoal bbq grill folds to only 2.5 inches and has 266 sq inches of cooking surface. What does this really mean? Well, you COULD cook 15 burgers at once, that’s what this means. It stands at 13 inches high when unfolded and comes with a heat resitant pan. No assembly needed.

“..We have been going to the ny jets football games for over 30 years. The problem since I don`t care for trucks or suvs is space in my honda accord trunk. Well I don`t have that problem any more. With the Bayou it folds up and fits easily. But besides that you can use match light charcoal so in a matter of minutes the food is already cooking. No propane to buy and carry around. When we are finished just clean up and put back in the trunk. I would recomend this grill to anyone who has limited trunk space and loves to tailgate. PS it is cheaper then all the other grills at this size.”

“…Unless you want a several hundred pound heavy duty smoker/griller, or a fixed unit, this is the one. I have seen and used dozens of grills and smokers, and at this price, this unit, (with what I consider the mandatory side fire box) beats them all hands down. Where to start? Approaching the unit, the top half lifts up, revealing the entire cooking grid.”

The one, the only..Big Green Egg! Although marketed as a charcoal grill, this Kamado charcoal grill holds low temps for an amazing amount of time and is very popular in the southwest as well as the east coast for backyard bbq grilling. This thing is so well built, it may last longer than you! Althought a tad pricey and the fact there are imitators out there, this may not be for everyone based on price along. Don’t let that fool you, this charcoal grill WILL last longer than your last car purchase!

One thing to note: you can slow cook at 200 or grill at 550. Poultry is amazing on the egg. Some people have even used the big green egg to cook pizza! Let’s see your home depot charcoal bbq grill do that!

Okay, this is marketed as a charcoal grill, but its ability to hold low temperatures for an incredible amount of time has made it and other Kamado cookers very popular amongst smokers. Giving you the best of both worlds, the Big Green Egg may just be the only piece of outdoor cooking equipment you’ll ever need (because it will probably last longer then you will).
